Teresa Tyler joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in April 1987.
A graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree, Teresa holds Series 6, 63, 65 and 26 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses.
For the last 30 years, she has worked with hundreds of military families, providing each of them valuable financial advice to help them pursue their goals. Teresa advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Through a values-centered approach to financial planning and a client-first philosophy, Teresa is committed to helping her clients plan confidently for the future and to accompanying them on their financial journey. Having personally witnessed the emotional and stressful financial decisions resulting from long-term care needs of a family member, Teresa is committed to helping others prepare for the financial well-being of their families and protection of their estates.
Teresa is a member of the Board of Directors for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Hawaii affiliate. Previously, she served as the President, Vice President and Treasurer of the nonprofit organization. In 2011, she was voted a Five Star Wealth Manager by respondents to an annual independent survey. Married with two daughters, she enjoys gourmet cooking and is a dedicated wine enthusiast and avid reader.
