Mission Statement:

The Suwannee River Fair And Livestock Show And Sale,is the sole activity and purpose of the Suwannee River Fair Association.The goals of the Association is to provide for the facilities, infrastructure, funding, and management of the Fair. The mission of the association is to provide, through fair activities, an opportunity for any child who is a member of 4-H, FFA, and FCCLA, in Dixie, Gilchrist, and Levy Counties to gain experience, skills, and knowledge that will serve them well as they become productive members of the community. All activities, while competitive in nature, are for the primary purpose of educating and fostering the participant in the areas of organization skills, record keeping, self reliance, self esteem, responsibility, and good citizenship. The founders of the Association, all active participants in the agricultural industry of the tri-county area, also had the desire to instill in the youth participants, an appreciation and basic knowledge of the agricultural industry that is still a Major economic and cultural influence in North Central Florida.
