The South Shore Art Center has been serving the community since 1998. The center has grown to be a most reputable and well-known art studio for kids. The workshops/classes are exciting and challenging yet nurturing with room for individual expression. The curriculum includes various concepts, techniques and styles of art. The instructional staff are caring, professional and experienced in many art mediums.
The class calendar is divided into five semesters…fall, winter, spring, late-spring and summer (each being 8 weeks). Classes meet once per week. Workshops include elementary age Drawing/Painting classes, Pottery/Sculpture classes, Cartoon classes, Teen Fashion Design, H.S. Portfolio Art, Teen Studio Art, Teen Pottery/Sculpture, Summer Art camps, Scout Badge workshops, Craft styled birthday parties, and Adult Canvas 'n Cocktail parties are available.
In addition to the instructional classes, young artists are exposed to the lives and insights of famous artists and art movements. Each semester classes focus on different themes. Although, the main theme is constant, the final artwork is as different and unique as each students’ talent and personality. At the South Shore Art Center we realize and teach the young artists to see the world differently and we afford each student the ways and means to achieve their vision.
All materials are included in the class fee. Flex-payments are an option, multi-class and sibling discounts are available.
A quality art program makes for a rewarding and memorable experience!
