The Somerset Economic Development Corporation was incorporated in December 1999 as a 501c(3) organization. We have a seventeen member board of directors which includes local municipal officials, a county commissioner, a banker, a lawyer and representatives from the tourism, construction, manufacturing, forestry. and education sectors. We meet the last Friday of each month for the purpose of conducting our general business meeting and to discuss topics related to economic development issues in Somerset County.

Somerset Economic Development Corporation commissioned a study of the economy of Somerset County, which resulted in the creation of a comprehensive economic development strategy for the County.
