Sharecroppers Farm
Small farm in Upstate SC with naturally grown heirloom vegetables, herbs and flowers. Fresh eggs. We have a 20 week long CSA harvest period during the spring - summer and a 10 week long fall harvest period. Weather permitting (this IS local food you know) there are weekly baskets of fresh produce sold on a limited basis throughout the winter months. We use only sustainable farming practices such as cover cropping and insectories, companion planting, and only OMRI pesticides when needed. Chickens and goats nourish our soils a well as help us keep weeds down. Ninety-five per cent of our crops are heirloom vegetables, which have a much richer flavor than hybrids.
