About Us:
The Arboretum features acres of pairies, woodlands and ponds for exploration and study; miles of trails for running, walking, biking or skiing; and beautiful gardens and open space for events and gatherings.
Named for 18th century Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, the arboretum was established in 1973 on what had previously been agricultural land, and designed to represent Minnesota's three major ecosystems: northern conferious forest, tallgrass prairie and deciduous woodland.
