History
In the winter of 1965 the start of what was to become Grace Episcopal Church began as a small preaching station with a handful of worshipers. The services were conducted at "Site Six" on the Lake Havasu peninsula, before there was an island, or a London Bridge.
In 1969, Grace evolved into Grace Mission, as a small but growing group of families gathered for worship each Sunday. Lay readers performed the services, and a roving priest from Kingman celebrated communion once each month.

There was no church building at that time, and services were held at schools, and other local churches gracious enough to host them. Eventually, a priest was assigned to the area to service three locations ofLake Havasu, Parker, and Needles.

As the town grew, so did the group of Episcopalians. In 1973 the church was blessed with its first full time priest and soon after, the services were regularly performed at the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. In 1977 plans for a church building were approved, and construction began. The church was dedicated in 1978.

McCulloch Corporation provided the land on which the building was constructed. It is a popular misconception that Grace was named after McCulloch's wife, but his wife's name was Barbara Ann. Although Grace is a common name for many Episcopal churches, it is possible that the name was in honor of McCulloch's mother, whose middle name was Grace.

In 1991 after 21 years of growth, the Arizona Diocese received Grace as an official Parish. The church continued to flourish blessed with a strong, conscientious and hard-working group of dedicated people.

In 1986 the building was re-structure. In 1998 the Memorial Gardenwas added along with a new Parish Hall, Sunday School classrooms, new kitchen and offices, and the children's playground.

Grace Episcopal is a place of prayer, praise, worship and learning. We nurture our children and cherish the elderly. Grace is a place of love, laughter and fellowship, compassion, healing and solace. We seek to live full of abundance and grace.
