Promote Fostoria is a volunteer, not-for-profit, arm of the Fostoria Area Chamber of Commerce.

For more than 15 years this group has conducted fund-raising activities that benefit the community in a variety of ways. They have purchased plants, shrubs and flowers for the Town Center area along with "Welcome" banners, decorative floral hanging baskets, flags, and much more.

They also conduct family oriented events throughout the year including a Community Easter Egg Hunt, visits with Witch Hazel at Halloween, a Community Tree Lighting Ceremony at holiday time, visits with Santa and more.

This group also promotes retail activity through the Holiday Open House Weekend in November and participates in events such as the Glass Heritage Festival. One of the most enjoyable family holiday activities is the Twilight Twinkle Tour established 4 years ago in cooperation with Ohio Bank in the Town Center.

An old fashioned trolley car takes passengers on a tour to see local homes festooned with lights and decorations for the Christmas holidays. Passengers arrive and depart from the Ohio Bank lobby where refreshments, holiday music and visits with Santa make the wait an enjoyable one. Ticket proceeds are donated to the Red Cross Food Pantry that serves Fostorians in need all year long.
