:: WHO WE ARE

The Economic Opportunity Council (EOC) is an advisory board to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, and the Employment & Human Services Department - Community Services Bureau, and Community Action Partnership of Contra Costa County.  The EOC is passionate about advocacy, social justice, and eliminating poverty within the county.

 

:: WHAT WE DO

EOC members volunteer their time to oversee the spending of the federally allotted CSBG dollars by conducting site monitoring visits, reviewing fiscal reports, and making recommendations to the BOS and CSB.  An EOC Member is distinguished from other advisory board members by being a part of an anti-poverty advisory board that partners with community organizations to provide services that help low-income residents become self-sufficient.

 

:: MEETINGS

The EOC holds a public meeting every 2nd Thursday of the month from 6pm-7:15pm at 40 Douglas Drive in Martinez.  Public comment is welcome.
