Dana Point Harbor is an exciting portside community, located in a natural setting cove-bound on one side by dramatic cliffs and, on the other by the clear waters of the Pacific. Considered one of the most romantic spots in California, Dana Point Harbor houses two marinas inside a one-and-a-half mile jetty. Complete harbor facilities include guest slips, launch ramps, fuel dock, shipyard, boat rentals, yacht sales and instruction, fishing, all year bait receiver, harbor cruises, windsurfing, jet skiing, certified dive charters, two yacht clubs, a sailing association, picnicking and a baby beach for young swimmers. The Harbor has one hotel, the Marina Inn.
Dana Point Harbor is the home of the tallships "Pilgrim" and the "Pride of Dana Point", as well as the Ocean Institute and the Dana Point Youth & Group Facility both offering a wide variety of programs. Dana Wharf Sportfishing offers the best fishing trips in Southern California. Their fishing fleet awaits you for a half-day, full day or twilight deep-sea fishing party. Dana Point is also the home of the "Festival of Whales". Whale Watching is available through several harbor businesses from December through March.
