Our vision at Hope is to carry out the call of Christ by pointing people toward a life-changing relationship with Jesus, other believers, and non-believers.
Who We Are
A Commitment to Relevant Bible Teaching
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, the authoritative rule of faith, doctrine and conduct. The Bible is both timeless and timely, relevant to the common needs of all people at all times and to the specific problems of contemporary living. Therefore, we are committed to equipping and discipling believers by encouraging personal study and through the preaching and teaching of God's Word.
A Commitment to Prayer
We believe that God desires His people to pray, and that He hears and answers prayer. We also believe that God desires for us to hear His voice and answer His call. Therefore, the ministries and activities of Hope Covenant Church will be characterized by a reliance on prayer in their conception, planning and execution.
A Commitment to Kingdom Living
We believe that God is calling us to be a Kingdom Church as described in the Beatitudes. This includes coming to Jesus as broken sinners in need of God's amazing grace. It means being transparent, honest, authentic people who come to the Savior "just as we are". It means being accepting and loving and grace-giving to those who are hungering and thirsting after righteousness. It means living our lives in total submission to our King, Jesus Christ.
A Commitment to Small Groups
We are committed to a small group ministry as one of the most effective means of building relationships, stimulating spiritual growth, and developing servants / leaders within the Body of Christ.
A Commitment to Creative Communication
We are committed to communicating the changeless message of the Gospel. In a rapidly changing world, methods of communication are constantly growing; therefore, we will use whatever means necessary to effectively communicate God's truth. We will be bound by the creativity of the Spirit, rather than by tradition or fashion.
A Commitment to Giving our Best to God
We believe that the God of our Salvation deserves the best we have to offer. The Lord Himself is a God of excellence, as shown by the beauty of creation; further, He gave the best He had, His only Son, for us. Therefore, in the ministries of Hope Covenant Church we will seek to give our very best to the glory of God. This will be accomplished when every person is exercising his/her God-given spiritual gifts.
A Commitment to Evangelism
We are committed to giving our lives to reach pre-Christian people with the life changing message of Jesus. Jesus gave His life, the Apostles gave their lives; therefore, we, the Body of Christ on earth, will give our lives to ministries that bring the Good News to our neighbors, cities, and our world.
