Mission Statement

Our vision is to encourage the creation and appreciation of visual art in Elgin and in the Fox Valley area.

About our Organization

Art for All is a 501c3 nonprofit organization created for the purpose of encouraging Fox Valley artists and connecting their talent with those in the Elgin community. On the first weekend of August each year, Art for All, in conjunction with the City of Elgin, coordinates the Art and Soul on the Fox art fair in downtown Elgin. Through its scholarship program, Art for All also provides college scholarships to students who are studying some form of visual art and have a demonstrated financial need.

AFA is a community-minded group with a wide diversity of talent from every imaginable artistic medium. Our members come from all walks of life and include those with a great deal of artistic experience, those who are emerging artists, and those who simply appreciate art and wish to assist in the promotion of it in within the community. While artists are individualistic by nature, our group of dedicated members has been able to accomplish much more together than any individual could possibly do on their own while creating a support system based on encouragement and knowledge.

Meetings & More

A Google Calendar, included at the bottom of this page and on our Newsletter Page, notes the dates and times of our meetings, artwork hanging drop off/pick up, and special events. You may view the calendar online or on your mobile device in three different views, "Week", "Month", or "Agenda". The easiest version to print is the "Agenda" view as this will provide you with the listing of upcoming events with the dates, times, and locations. 

General Membership Meetings

Our General Membership meetings are open to members and interested non-members alike.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Elgin Artspace community room.

A social hour is held from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. followed by the meeting which commences at 7:00 p.m.
