About Us

The Arkansas Valley Art Center sponsors a series of art shows in the summer season in the Old Courthouse in downtown Buena Vista, including a juried show for our members. We also sponsor a number of workshops during the year in a wide variety of visual arts mediums. Our programs for the community include workshops for children held during the school year. Mission Statement

The Arkansas Valley Art Center is a county-wide non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the love of and participation in the visual arts. We host a series of art shows throughout the year in our brand new gallery and teaching facility, located within the Colorado Mountain College campus in Buena Vista. As an organization who values education, AVAC offers a variety of workshops, classes and exhibits for all ages and levels. We are pleased to provide a vibrant forum in which to bring artists and art lovers together in our valley.
