From: Pulse Art and Technology FestivalTelfair Museums' PULSE Art and Technology Festival returns for its 18th year with a must-see exhibition and lecture by pioneering electronic artist Jim Campbell, a showcase of projects by local artists working in new media, and programs for all ages. The festival kicks off with a member's opening and lecture by Jim Campbell, and a showcase of art and projections by local artists.

5:30pm Jim Campbell Members' Reception and Opening Lecture
Celebrate the opening night of the PULSE Festival with a talk by influential new media artist Jim Campbell, who discuss the evolution of his art from early video and interactive works to his iconic, low-resolution light sculptures on view at the Jepson Center. Campbell's mesmerizing art has appeared in exhibitions at major museums the United States and abroad and is represented in collections including the Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

11am - Pulse STEAM Talk for Students with Tybee Ballet Theater
The directors of the Tybee Ballet Theater will speak with students about their collaborations with artists and use of technology in a range of stage productions. Free admission for all local students as well as Telfair members. School groups
2pm - Curator's tour
Harry DeLorme, Director of Education and Senior Curator, will lead a highlights tour of current PULSE exhibitions and artist projects. Free admission for Telfair Members and included in general museum admission.

10am - Workshop: LED Light Sculptures (ages 10-16)
Inspired by the featured PULSE exhibition, students will create a colorful, wall-hung LED light sculpture. Limited capacity, registration is required.
Plus free family day
10am-5pm Free admission for local residents
1-4pm Family art making activities, artists' demonstrations, performance
Enjoy the new PULSE exhibitions, hands on art-making activities for families, and demonstrations by local video game makers. The afternoon includes a featured performance at 3pm by Tybee Ballet Theater. *Free to residents of Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Bulloch, Beaufort, and Jasper Counties.
