Classic fun, new adventures and old favorites can all be found at the first night of Oktemberfest at Kid’s Night! Completely free and open to all, this year’s events will be located in downtown Marshalltown.  Fun performances and activities for the whole family! Enjoy food vendors and the carnival, too!

5:00 pm - Close Scott Amusements Carnival returns to Marshalltown!

5:00 pm - 5:45 pm Little Miss & Little Mister Registration open to all area 1st and 2nd Graders at the Registration Table with crowning beginning at 6:00 p.m. 

All registrants must be able to ride in the Saturday morning parade, if chosen. 

All are invited to the most magnificent spectacle for the crowing of Little Miss & Mister Oktemberfest that will be chosen by a random drawing in front of friends and family on the Main Stage!

5:00 pm - 5:45 pm  Free ¼ mile Family Color Run Registration at the Registration Table.  The run will take place at 6:05 p.m. and is open for families!  

All participants will be doused in colorful powder as they run the course.  Wearing white will show off all of the vibrant colors!

5:45 pm - 6:00 pm Crowning of Little Miss & Little Mister Oktemberfest!

Oktemberfest Classic Car & Truck Show

We will be hosting the 2023 car show Friday, September 22th from 5-8pm. 

“Line-up starts at 4pm at the corner of 2nd St and Main. Registration fee is $ ...  per vehicle entered.

Voting will be by registered car owners only – there are prizes for top 3 in each category

Allow the beauty from your garage shine for all tonight. Bring your classic car or cycle to show everyone what a beauty you own.

5K / 10K Run

Street closures for portions of the 5K/10K route, the Parade staging and route, along and across the parade route and staging areas.

Closures and restricted travel will start around 6:30 / 7AM Saturday morning for the start of the 5K/10K, and will remain Closed until the end of the parade.  Everything west of 3rd St will be opened at the end of the parade.

Please do not drive across people's lawns to get around the barricades in place for the safety of all participants and coordinators.  Plan accordingly with alternate routes around this area, and remind employees/coworkers as needed.  If you live in this area, you will be receiving a postcard reminder to have all vehicles along the route moved to an alternate side street for that day.

The Oktemberfest Motorcycle Show will be located on Church St. between 1st St. and 1st Ave. 

Vintage Bike, Sportster, Full Custom, Touring Bike, Trikes, V-Twin, Metric Cruiser and Sport Class are welcome.

Oktemberfest Carnival 

Enjoy the sites and sounds of the carnival. This is fun for the whole family; rides and other attractions for you to enjoy.

Scott Amusements will be here Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon.
