OUR IMPACT since opening in June 2021:

• Welcomed over 23,000 visitors into our beautiful space, admission-free

• Provided free art and music classes and art enrichment to over 1,000 local students
• Offered 21 semester-long art classes, 7 artist talks and 10 workshops
• Held 21 free art exhibitions displaying incredible work by local artists and students
• Sponsored 17 brilliant Resident Artists and Korry Fellows and watched them thrive, learn, create and teach in our space

TNAS Resident Artist to Full-Time Art Teacher at Norwalk High School

A Safe Space for Students to Create and Thrive

For the Fall 2022 semester, we expanded from 4 to 5 weekly classes and now offer middle school classes. Thanks to our partnerships with the Carver Foundation and the Norwalk Public Schools, all of our classes are filled. To date, we have had nearly 250 students participate in our free classes. A snapshot of our student demographics:

• 54% have never taken an art class outside of school
• 71% with household income below the Norwalk median of $86,000 per year
• 67% BIPOC/Hispanic/Middle Eastern/Asian/mixed race, 26% White
• 60% female, 5% nonbinary
