The Indian Cultural Association is proud to present the FESTIVAL OF INDIA – DIWALI MELA to celebrate our Culture, History, and Heritage. On September 16th and 17th, 2023, all roads lead to Howard County Fairgrounds for a taste of all things Indian!

A VISUALLY STUNNING CELEBRATION - The “Festival of India” brings the most flavorful, exciting, and diverse celebration of Indian culture in Maryland USA. This two-day event will be the largest festival in Maryland, attracting ~20,000 - 25,000 patrons from Howard and surrounding Counties under one roof to enjoy, celebrate and take pride in Indian culture - music, dance, food, clothing, jewelry, handicrafts, and more.

Top area restaurants will be featuring culinary delights from different parts of the Indian subcontinent. The shopping portion of the event will feature exhibitors from all over the East Coast who will be selling ethnic goods and services. The event will also feature Live Entertainment including DJ, Classical and Bollywood Dance Performances, Open Mic & Open Dance Floor, Henna, and the showstopper FASHION SHOW! KIDS CORNER will have Balloons, Facepaint, and MAGIC SHOW!

The theme of this year's Festival is the root of Indian culture, thought, and philosophy - "Vasudev Kutumbakam' - the world is one family. Exhibiting the core belief of the all-embracing Indian culture, the Festival of India embodies the cultural essence of India! The festival will bring together hundreds of performers from diverse regions on one stage, showcasing our rich cultural diversity.
