About BAYBE
If you’re looking for one woman’s unapologetic truth baptized in irreverence and served cold on a platter of metal, rap, and (metaphorically) disemboweled exes, BAYBE has got you covered…
By not only writing, producing, rapping, and singing, but also directing the videos and shaping the aesthetic, she presents an untainted vision beckoning to be devoured. Piling up tens of millions of streams and packing houses on tour, she distinguishes herself as an outlier without comparison.
Hailing from Miami, she absorbed inspiration from every angle. Classical training on piano established her musical foundation, while she simultaneously accrued early studio experience by lending her voice to Lovee Doll toys. At the same time, her sonic palette expanded to encompass Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Bring Me The Horizon, Doja Cat, Imogen Heap, and Rico Nasty. During middle school and high school, she logged countless hours in bands. Eventually, the girl born Abbey Loren relocated to Nashville where she brought BAYBE to life. Building buzz, “rosalie” amassed north of 2.2 million Spotify streams followed by “Speak of the Devil” [feat. JF] with another 2.2 million Spotify streams. Simultaneously, she engendered the obsession of a devout audience across social media, amassing a following of nearly 400K across platforms. During 2023, she made waves with her debut God’s Favorite EP—hailed as “insanely catchy” by idobi Radio.
However, BAYBE continued to push the envelope in the studio throughout 2024, holding nothing back and doubling down on the extremities.
She revved up this era with the head-turning “Pretty Gay.” The track’s slick beat brushes up against her breathy delivery on the verses until she stomps her blood-soaked Nikes through a chantable chorus, “No, I don’t really care what they all say. But then you go and tell me you’re straight. I think that’s pretty gay.” Right out of the gate, it reacted with The Honey Pop praising it as “a pretty iconic sapphic anthem.”
Then, there’s “Good Business” featuring Ameer Vann. A distorted guitar groove rattles beneath her deftly spit rhymes as Ameer counters with surgically precise bars. On the hard-hitting hook, BAYBE boasts, “I don’t need nobody’s forgiveness. I’m just doing good business.”
With more music and touring on the horizon, BAYBE consistently breaks the mold by being herself.
