The trip provides an opportunity for father and son to sharpen their connection by reliving past experiences and memories. A plot twist toward the end of the film deepens the drama and points to the value of cathartic healing.

Low profile and adverse to self-promotion, Spanos felt that his music speaks for him. Many of his memorable songs are performed here by a veritable who's who in Greek popular music.
