About Us :

Trips - Enjoy an exciting, yet relaxing day with friends. Day trips are scheduled frequently throughout the year to local attractions. Long distance trips are attempted twice a year to points of interest that match the preferences of the senior citizens.

Classes - Create something special! Select from classes in basket-making, painting, crocheting, quilting, crafts, and many more.

Recreation - Get active or simply take it easy! Activities include: exercise sessions, shuffleboard, walks, pool tables, television, card playing, group singing, jam sessions, piano playing, bingo, line dancing, and a variety of other opportunities.

Special Events & Activities - Be a part of memory-making activities, such as the Senior Prom, dances, dinners, the Jubilee Fashion Show and more! Special weekly activities encourage seniors from area nursing homes to become a part of the center by including them in noon meals, bingo, singing, games and music therapy.

Volunteers - Your resources are valuable to us and with our new facility we need your help now more than ever! Please lend your time and talents to assist us with any of the following endeavors: Day Care assistance, pancake breakfasts, teaching, singing, friendly visiting, and all other activities which occur at the center. Eligibility - Anyone of age is eligible, however some programs are for members 60 years of age or older.

Hours - The Whiteside County Senior Center provides services Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
