Our Town is nestled in the beautiful Genesee Valley and it borders on Conesus Lake, the western edge of the Finger Lakes region. Geneseo's hills, fields and waterways support a thriving agriculture and give us lively recreation opportunities from boating to equestrian sports.

The name "Geneseo" comes from the Native American word, "Gen-nis-he-yo", which means "pleasant banks" or "beautiful valley".
