Town of Beatrice

966 Main Street
251-789-2241

Established at the turn of the 20th century, the town of Beatrice was settled while work continued on the construction of a railroad link between Selma, Ala. to the Louisville & Nashville Railroad terminal in Pensacola, Fla.

History remains a very important part of life in Beatrice. With historic buildings such as the Robbins Hotel as well as numerous period homes, the streets of Beatrice offer a view that can take you back to a simpler time when life was less hurried.

Don't let the crepe myrtle-lined streets fool you, though. Beatrice is poised, along with Monroe County, for economic growth following the announcement of the ThyssenKrupp USA Steel Mill and EADS Northrop Grumman in nearby Mobile County.  With available property as well as a peaceful quality way of life, the Town of Beatrice is ready to take her place among other South Alabama communities during this time of unprecedented growth.
