About Us:

My name is Susan Botelho and I have been the owner and director of Susan's Dance Studio for fifteen years. I graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1988 and Bridgewater State College in 1992 with a BA in Theatre and Dance.

In 1995, I was working at The Huntington Theatre Company in Boston as the Assistant to the Artistic Director and as a part-time nanny in Brookline. I got a phone call from my very good friend and mentor, Kristine Couto, who wanted to sell me her dance studio. I called my mom, thought about it for an hour and the rest, as they say, is history!

Since then I've been teaching the basic elements of dance to girls and boys of all ages; offering classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Ballroom, Belly Dancing, and Zumba!

Everyone of every gender, age, color, size and shape should dance!

Susan's Dance Studio is not only a great place for students to participate in a dance program and showcase what they have learned for their friends and family; it's also a great place for children to build self esteem, interact with other children, and meet new friends!

Overall, it is my hope and wish that my students grow up and leave Susan's Dance Studio as confident young adults with life long friends!
