Safe Haven Dog Rescue was created in 2012 by volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for homeless dogs and puppies. The majority of our dogs and puppies are rescued from Kill Pounds and Shelters in Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Illinois.  We coordinate transportation and placement into our foster homes.

We are all foster based, meaning we do not have a "shelter".  We count on the community to open their homes to dogs and puppies while we find them forever homes.  Our fosters are the life blood of our organization and we could not save lives without them!  

We are certain to disclose everything we know about the dogs, sometimes we know a lot often we know only that they were strays, thrown away on the side of the road, in the woods, or found in abandoned houses. While we don't always know their past we are certain that we will make their future is much brighter.
