In 1955, Prince of Peace Parish celebrated its first Mass in a Lake Villa public school. One year later, construction began for a school and a church. In September 1957, 211 students began attending Prince of Peace School. As the Parish continued to grow, a new church was eventually built in 1980.

Since 1955, Prince of Peace has provided a Christian haven for many Catholics in this area and has grown from a few hundred families to over 2,400 families today. It has been through their generous support that Prince of Peace has developed into the thriving Parish that we now enjoy. During these 40 years, we have consistently provided.
