Pleasant Valley Church

4178 Crest Highway
706-646-1488

We are a trans-denominational church located in Thomaston, Georgia, but the ministries we support are truly global in nature.

Pleasant Valley Church is the home church for all of the individuals that we have ministering all over the world and those supporting them here at home. In addition to that we have many people from the area that call Pleasant Valley Church home. For more information on our ministries, visit the "Associated Ministries" page and click on Be In Healthâ„¢. Our pastor is Henry Wright. To Learn more about "Pastor Henry" and our other pastors, see our "Meet The Pastors" Page.

Our services are Non-Traditional. To hear Pastor Henry explain it, listen to the audio clip below.

We hope you will join us for a service and let us show you what we are about.

We Purchased The 38 Acre Retreat Center Along with it, we bought the original Pleasant Valley Church building 1/2 mile From the Retreat Center It was a one-room church and school from 1911 to the 1940's. The school was moved in the 1940's, but the church continued in that building until 1987. It has one acre of dogwoods and other beautiful trees. It is all original including the hardwood benches. In the Olden Days the deacons stored their Moonshine in the attic of the church for safe keeping.....but the real Spirit was not in that wine.We purchased this beautiful old building for $5,000. It is a tremendous historical site, and we will restore it to its original beauty.

What We Believe

We believe that the Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is 100% the Word of God.

The translation that is our foundation is:

The Hebrew Masoretic Text

The Greek Majority Text

As translated into English in the Authorized King James Version

We believe in the eternal Godhead as revealed in the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Majority Text, otherwise known as the Old Testament and New Testament.

We believe that all the purposes of God are now a finished work through Jesus Christ by faith, by whom He created all things, by whom He saved and restored all things, and whom He has made the head of all things, forever. Amen.

We believe that Jesus Christ:

Is the LORD God, God the Word

Came in the flesh, the only begotten Son of God

Was conceived by God the Holy Ghost in the womb of Mary, the Virgin

Lived a sinless life as a human being

Was anointed by God with the Holy Ghost to destroy the works of the devil

Showed us the ministry of believer/priest to preach the good news, call for men everywhere to repent and turn to God, heal the sick and do cures in His name, and cast out devils

Died for our sins and the sins of all who believe on His name

Is the sacrificial Lamb and by His shed blood we have remission of sins

Reconciled us to God by faith and indwells us by the Holy Spirit

Lay in the grave 3 days and 3 nights and on the third day God raised Him from the dead, He walked on this earth for 40 days and was seen by up to 500 people at one time

Ascended up into heaven and sat down on the right hand of God

Is coming again, first in the "First Resurrection" and then 7 years later in the "Day of the Lord." He comes with all the saints to defeat the anti-Christ and set up His millennial reign as the Messiah (Zechariah 14:1-5)

We believe that as the fullness of the Godhead rested bodily on Jesus as a work of the Holy Spirit, this fullness of the Godhead should rest on the body of Christ in the earth today, the Church.

We believe in the doctrines of Christ found in Hebrews 6:1-2:

Repentance from dead works

Faith towards God

Doctrine of Baptisms

Laying on of hands

Resurrection of the dead

Eternal judgment

We believe in the sacraments of the Church as revealed in the Scriptures:

The LORD's Supper (Communion)

Water Baptism

Footwashing

We believe in the Great Commission a world vision.

We believe that the body of Christ, the Church, is:

The salt of the earth

The light of the world

Showing the love of God by the love we have one for another

Called to be a gift and servants unto the fast of service

We believe that healing and miracles are part of the Atonement and are valid for today; Jesus Christ the same, yesterday, today and forever.
