The North Aurora Fire Protection District provides pre-hospital emergency medical services to the citizens of North Aurora and surrounding communities. It is the fire protection district's goal to minimize the loss of life or serious injury by providing immediate and reliable medical care 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Each member of the NAFPD is trained to a level of Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) or Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) and are capable of assessing, treating, stabilizing, and transporting patients until definitive medical care is available at an appropriate medical facility.

Our goal is to minimize the loss of life or serious injury by providing immediate and reliable medical care.

North Aurora Fire Protection District provides emergency medical services and care through use of the following equipment:

2-Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances with 12 lead electrocardiogram (ECG) capability.
1-ALS Engine with extrication equipment to provide quick victim removal in situations of victim entrapment from vehicle accidents.
1-ALS Technical Rescue Vehicle equipped to handle specialized rescue situations such as; high angle rescues, trench cave-ins, confined spaces, structural collapses, hazardous material spills and mass casualty incidents.
2- Medic Bikes equipped with Basic and Advanced Life Support equipment for use at special events.
