About us:
The Mokena Community Park District is located approximately 25 miles south of Chicago, Illinois, along Interstate 80. Established in 1959, the Park District serves nearly 21,000 patrons, providing year round recreational programs, ten beautiful park sites, playgrounds, picnic groves, an extreme skatepark, and one of Illinois premiere disc golf courses.
Recognized for its outstanding programming and special events, the Mokena Park District has become well known for its annual festivals such as Halloween Hollow and Woofstock, and providing exceptional recreational opportunities. Future plans for the Park District include a Pitch & Putt Golf course, a 33,000 square foot Recreation Center, and a Living Farm.

To provide quality recreational opportunities to enhance the health, educational, athletic, and cultural well being of its residents, and to protect and preserve parks and open space areas within the Park District boundaries.
