Mission:
Macon County School System will provide a quality life experience and an educational gateway for all students transitioning toward a successful future. Toward this goal we have utilized a route comprised of a statement of beliefs along with a vision statement. Realizing that both these beliefs and the vision navigate us as we travel toward our mission, we have evaluated our school, our community, and ourselves. Declaring that the student is the basic focus of all our endeavors, we have analyzed our policies, procedures, and concerns in order to prove this assertion.
Belief Statements:
Our staff, parents, students, and community believe that a quality education can be provided for all children through communication, cooperation, and teamwork.
Students can achieve their highest potential with proper guidance from administrators, teachers, and staff in a positive, supportive, and challenging environment.
Students should learn at a pace that is conducive to meeting requirements for high school graduation.
Students should be encouraged to become life-long independent learners.
Students should be encouraged use technology as a tool for learning.
The school should reinforce positive values and life experiences.
Vision Statement:
Macon County High School will be a school of excellence where students are honored, learning is valued, and the community is part of the process for success.
