For 40 years, Lyons Evangelical Free Church has been serving Lyons and the surrounding communities. Prior to its incorportation as an Evangelical Free Church, the Lyons Union Sunday School Association conducted classes in Lyons for many years. The historical roots of the church reach back to the 19th Century.

The Lyons Evangelical Free Church resides in a beautiful and historic building which is over 125 years old, a landmark in the Lyon's community.

The church's ministries include the preaching and the teaching of the Bible, and a year-round Sunday School for all ages
