Lincoln Elementary School History :

Lincoln School was built in 1956 and named after our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. In 2000-01, Community Unit School District 200 renovated, as well as added an addition to the building. This addition provided four new classrooms, three new support area rooms, an art room, much needed storage, and a spacious gymnasium. The renovations updated all existing classrooms by turning an "old" multi-purpose room into a "new" music room and converted the "old" gymnasium into a "new" multi-purpose room. Likewise, front offices were updated and enlarged. Lincoln School encompasses 8 acres with and adjacent park with a student population of 504 for the 2009 -2010 school year.

Lincoln School is one of thirteen elementary schools in Community Unit School District 200. There are four middle schools for children in sixth through eighth grade and two high schools. The total student enrollment of the district is over 14,000 students. Students living in the Lincoln attendance area will attend Edison Middle School and Wheaton-Warrenville South High School.
