Ladera Elementary is a family oriented K-5 school located on a hillside with spacious grounds, a view of the mountains and park-like setting. The small school personality, strong sense of community, inclusive school climate, and hands-on teaching complimented by positive character and bucket-filling atmosphere embedded in the curriculum on a daily basis are the keys to our success! Using the motto of "High Expectations equal High Achievement", Ladera students participate in a standards-based, comprehensive academic program which meets the individual needs of the whole child in a positive child-centered environment fostered by a dedicated and caring staff, parent involvement, and community support.

Learning at Ladera is a team effort between students, staff and home. At Ladera, all children CAN learn and are CELEBRATED for their unique qualities and special needs. These special differences are valued and nurtured through thoughtful planning, research and "failure is NOT an option" attitude. The curriculum is focused on the WHOLE child with an emphasis on providing students options for sharing their knowledge through different forms of the Visual and Performing Arts, reaching out to the greater community through service projects and/or demonstrating a healthy attitude and lifestyle. By working together as a team, the Ladera staff aims for the "next right answer" making ALL Ladera students believe themselves to be capable, significant individuals who are responsible for their own learning and can make a difference in their futures!
