Who We Are:

-The King Harbor Youth Foundation is a non-profit corporation created to promote youth sailing in Southern California .

-Founded in 1982, we operate on the site of the King Harbor Yacht Club in Redondo Beach , CA

-Our mission is to provide access to the sport of sailing to local girls and boys of all backgrounds, in order to build self-esteem, teamwork and a respect for the environment.

-We run programs in instruction, competitive racing, and community outreach for children 8 years of age and up.

-We are funded by individual contributions, program fees and fundraisers.

Our goal is to dramatically increase our impact on the youth of the surrounding South Bay communities through:

-Extending our programs to a broader audience of local youth
-Improving the quantity and quality of our instruction, coaching and equipment
-Increasing our financial resources and sustainability
