The Golconda Job Corps Center is now enrolling students for career technical training in the following fields:  Bricklaying, Carpentry, Construction Craft Laborer, Culinary Arts, Electrical, Health Unit Coordinator, Insurance Claims Processor, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Transcriptionist, Painting, Urban Forestry, and Welding.  Golconda has a self-paced education program for students to obtain their high school diploma or a high school equivalency credential.  In addition, Golconda Job Corps also offers career planning, on-the-job training, job placement assistance, residential housing, food service, driver’s education programs, basic health care, and a biweekly basic living allowance.
