The Beliefs of the United Methodist Church

We believe in the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that all are sinners and are in need of salvation. That salvation comes from belief in Jesus Christ alone who came to earth to live as a man, died willingly on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead. He promised to return for His followers.

We believe that it is through the power of the Holy Spirit active in our lives that we are able to act out our faith and show love to others.

We believe that as Christians we are part of larger Christian community beyond just the United Methodist Church.

The United Methodist Church is based on the teachings of its founder John Wesley. He believed that the Christian faith should be rooted in Scripture, tradition, personal experience, and reason.
