Who We Are

Crawfordville United Methodist Church is a loving and caring church, striving to know and follow the will of Jesus Christ. Our vision is for our church to be a community of Christian believers being transformed through intentional discipleship, spirit-based worship, and a calling from God to practice Christian hospitality and to build lay leadership teams as we reach out in service to those who are hurting and in witness to all persons about new possibilities in Christ. We have a rich history that is now in our third century and have done marvelous things through Him, but feel like we have just begun. Whether you are looking for ministries to children, youth, or adults, Crawfordville United Methodist Church has it all. Our congregation is alive with excitement as we look forward to being His people in the new millennium.

As Christians

First

As Christians, we are followers (Disciples) of Jesus Christ having made a decision to place Christ as the number one priority in our lives. We do this by initiating a personal relationship with him.

Second

As a group (congregation) of disciples, we are a part of the "Body of Christ" known as the church universal. We worship together, laugh, cry, and share life together as a supportive community.

Third

We are a United Methodist church. A denomination in Protestant Christianity born out of the Wesleyan Church renewal movement of the late 18th century. As such, we inherit a tradition that stresses God's love and grace. We also inherit a responsibility as disciples to share the "good news" of that love and grace which we have found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
