Our Story:

Church Street Brewing Company began when Joe Gregor's son decided that his father needed a hobby and bought him some home brewing equipment. Joe, being a chemical engineer, enjoyed brewing beer so much, and became so good at it, that he began to research starting his own brewery. After several years of research, hard work, and considering various locations, Church Street found its home in Itasca, Illinois in February of 2012. Equipment arrived in June & July and Church Street became a reality! It's been an amazing journey filled with lots of hard work, learning and fun from April 2012 until now, but we could not be more proud of the brewery and our ability to service the community we are in. Don't take our word for it, come by and see the brewery for yourself!

Joe has spent much of his working life travelling, and has always enjoyed trying the local beer whether he was in Germany, China, Mexico, Indonesia or Egypt. Joe's true love lies in German lagers, which will always be evident in our beer lineup. Joe's affinity for beer doesn't end with Germany though, visit our beers to learn more.

The real story of Church Street becomes apparent upon visiting our brewery. We are a family business built on a dream to make quality ales and lagers that stand out from the crowd. While providing a high quality, great tasting beer is the ultimate goal, we don't stop there. We're committed to expanding the knowledge of all who come through our doors by providing excellent (and free!) tours that not only let our patrons learn a little more about us, but also about the process of making beer itself. From homebrewers to professionals, and from beer-lovers to beer judges, in an industry as new and exciting as the craft beer movement, we welcome an exchange of ideas from all comers. In a visit to Church Street you can expect a welcoming atmosphere, met with great beer, and great conversation.
