Bluff City Theater is pleased to announce the launch of our newest initiative - The BCT Theater Arts Academy. Beginning this Fall, we offer classes in a variety of theater disciplines - acting, singing and dancing for children, youth and adults of all ages. The BCT Theater Arts Academy is conceived for those individuals who would like to develop or improve their skills in performing on the stage - whether to perform locally as an amateur or to eventually pursue higher education or a career in the theater arts.
Under the leadership of Teaching Artist Gale Rublee and a talented group of professionals, BCT Academy works with class participants to introduce the fundamentals of professional acting and then lead them through successively more difficult exercises designed to improve knowledge and skills. Participants may also choose from a series of classes leading to triple-threat capability (acting, singing and dancing).
Beginning Acting classes are offered in three age categories - 7-11, 12-17 and adults 18 and up. The Academy also offers Intermediate Acting for those with significant stage experience, Singing for The Stage, Dancing for The Stage and Glee!, a program designed for those who want tell to stories through song and dance as part of an ensemble.
Fees start at just $10 per class and every class culminates in a performance for family and friends.
Class sizes are limited to no more than 12 students per instructor to make sure each student receives personal attention.
