INDIANAPOLIS — Welcome back to The Indiana Democratic Party’s weekly series called We Listened So You Don’t Have To: The Micah Beckwith Weird Weekly Roundup, which serves as a one-stop-shop that summarizes all the weird, offbeat, and simply gross things Mike Braun’s running mate Beckwith says. Prepare yourself people: It gets weird over there. Bonus: At the end of every Roundup, we’ll include the cherry on top, AKA that week’s weirdest moment.

Remember, Braun said on the convention stage in June according to POLITICO’s Adam Wren about his running mate Beckwith: “Everything you believe in, I have as well.”

This edition’s items include (and we’re sorry in advance):

  • This week, Beckwith slandered the four women Democratic candidates at the top of Indiana’s ticket as carrying the “Jezebel spirit,” comparing them to witches as a guest on a recent podcast episode. And they say chivalry is dead.

  • But Beckwith’s disparagement of women doesn’t stop thereOn Facebook, he complained when moderators fact-checked Republican candidate JD Vance during the vice presidential debate on Tuesday, calling them “condescending” for noting that no, dogs and cats aren’t in fact being eaten in Ohio.

  • On September 30, Beckwith shared a Facebook post that said, “Censorship, changing definitions and rewriting history are the new book burnings.” Mind you, this is the same guy who made national headlines for banning books. How can you not see the irony, Micah?!

And the cherry on top?

This is your courtesy reminder that Micah Beckwith is homophobic, which is reason #64518028 why he is not suitable to be a leader of Indiana, as he shuns and openly mocks minorities. On Facebook, he reposted an image implying that God dislikes members of the LGBTQ+ community and their use of the rainbow. We give you (drumroll please!) whatever this is:
