From: Town of BrooklineDecember 2022 COVID/Flu Business Notice
The Brookline Public Health & Human Services Department would like to work with Brookline businesses to promote a healthy winter for all. We are seeing an early increase in flu cases and reports of influenza-like illness across Massachusetts, in addition to an increase in COVID-19 in wastewater data and reported cases.
Here are some actions you can take to help keep you, your employees, and our community healthy:
- Provide for masks for staff and customers as well as welcome mask wearing in your establishments during the Flu and COVID-19 peaks;
- Stay up to date with Flu and COVID-19 vaccines;
- Stay home if you have symptoms;
- Test if you have symptoms;
- Increase ventilation where possible; and
- Ensure good handwashing.
Beginning in January, the Brookline Public Health & Human Services Department will be offering another round of iHome COVID-19 test kits and masks while supplies last. Please email EJ Bennett at [email protected] if you are interested in accessing test kits and/or masks for you and your employees.
It is not too late to get your flu and COVID-19 shot. Vaccination is always the best way to prevent flu, and COVID-19, and its potentially serious complications.
