The Venue Celebrates Giving Tuesday with Pete Ellman Big Band

Aurora, IL - The Venue, a live music performance space in Aurora, will host a special evening celebrating Giving Tuesday with Pete Ellman Big Band on November 28.

Pete Ellman Big Band will perform on The Venue stage with Lisle High School starting at 6:30 p.m. The Tuesday night residency series is hosted by Fox Valley Music Foundation and sponsored by Vicki McCoy from RE/MAX In the Village. All tickets cost $10. Doors open at 6 p.m.

To celebrate Giving Tuesday, The Venue will host raffles to benefit Fox Valley Music Foundation, the nonprofit organization that funds the live music room.

Executive Director Karen Fouts said that past donations and sponsorships have enabled the Fox Valley Music Foundation to book performances by top musical artists, fund the Pete Ellman Big Band residency project that provides professional performance experiences for high school and community college jazz bands every Tuesday night, continue The Venue’s Songwriter Series, which features songwriting and storytelling from incredible emerging artists.

This year, donations to Fox Valley Music Foundation will help support a special festival Master Class by Pete Ellman scheduled for March 2024 that will enrich the musical talents of over 300 students, Fouts said.

The Venue, located at 21 S. Broadway in downtown Aurora, offers live music year round along with a wide selection of craft beer and other beverages at the bar which is open for all shows.

Free street parking is available along with free surface lot parking located across from City Hall, 44 E. Downer Pl. at the corner of Downer Place and Water Street. The Venue’s entrance is located along Water Street Mall, adjacent to City Hall and Mundy Park.
