Spokane Public Library to reopen South Hill and Indian Trail locations in March

After approximately one year of construction, Spokane Public Library will reopen Indian Trail Library on Tuesday, March 7 and South Hill Library on Tuesday, March 21. Visit new library meeting spaces, Basalt Burrow Children’s Playspace at Indian Trail, Turkey Treetops Children’s Playspace at South Hill, and see the new interior finishes each location has to offer.

Hear from City of Spokane leadership at ribbon cutting ceremonies at 9am for Indian Trail on March 7 and 9am for South Hill on March 21.

“The community has voiced their excitement for the reopening of these two locations and we are eager to share the renovations with the citizens of Spokane,” said Executive Director Andrew Chanse. “Our team is looking forward to bringing a variety of events and services to these refreshed locations for adults, kids, and families alike.”

The South Hill and Indian Trail renovations are the final two renovations funded by a voter-approved $77 million bond passed in 2018. Other projects funded by the bond measure include new libraries at Hillyard, The Hive, and Liberty Park, and renovations of Shadle Park and Central.
