11:00 AM | Special Event: Screenwriting Incubator

The Vermont Production Collective (VPC) presents: A Staged Reading Of New Vermont-based Screenplays
VPC invites you to a Staged Reading of selected scenes from new works for film, developed over the last nine months in the Vermont Screenplay Incubator by 5 local screenwriters. The stories, while all set in Vermont, will transport us back in time, from a deep dive into how federal decisions affected a rural VT farmer in the 1960s, to what was really on the mind of teenagers in the 1980s. Other stories explore what actions an ever-changing physical appearance may drive someone to take, why another may choose a quiet life in the Green Mountains, and even give us answers as to how the Vatican’s powers could reach Barre. A cohort of local actors will bring the scenes to life and provide you with a look into the filmmaking process for narrative fiction films.
