Did you know...
The 1878 Highfield Hall estate, which played a formative role in Falmouth’s history, was saved by the community. Today, it exists to serve the community. And, in large part, it is sustained by the community. We are here for you…because of you!
Today, Highfield Hall & Gardens is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that leases the property from the town of Falmouth. Our purpose is to act as stewards of the property while providing our community with rich, diverse and affordable opportunities to experience all that Highfield has to offer. This year we welcomed more than 10,000 people to the house and presented 150 programs and events.
Your Continued Support is Vital to help keep our programming affordable and accessible to everyone in our community.
Your donation today will enable us to meet our 2022 financial obligations and begin planning for our 2023 programs and events. PLEASE GIVE TODAY!

We will be hosting Falmouth Academy Students, students from the New England Ballet Theater will perform Nutcracker vignettes in the Hall one day and Turning Pointe Dance Studio will grace the outdoor patio. Notescape will once again sing in our halls! FULL MOON REIKI RESET
GUIDED RELAXATION AND SOUND BATH
NEW Online Fall Series
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm (EST)
$20/members $25/non-members
Please join Victoria and Yves Vandeplas for this virtual guided breathing and relaxation, followed by a planetary gong and crystal bowl sound bath with energetic reiki harmonization.
The full moon is a time to let go of anything that no longer serves you, and create space for anything you’d like to call in during the weeks ahead. For those who are sensitive, the energy of the full moon also tends to intensify whatever emotional state you are in, so it’s the perfect time to get centered.
We suggest that you attend the zoom class somewhere where you can lie down, wear comfortable clothes, have a blanket or two handy, socks if your feet get cold and anything else you might want to feel comfortable lying down. For a better sound experience, please have earphones on for the sound bath portion of the class.

HOLIDAY DISCOVERIES IN THE BEEBE ARCHIVE
HOLIDAY GREETINGS FROM THE PAST
We recently uncovered holiday cards from E. Pierson's personal affects.
It is likely that E. Pierson and Frank H. Beebe celebrated Christmas in their warm Boston homes, unless a special occasion took them to Falmouth and a warm fire would be lit for their arrival. Regardless of their residence, they delivered their special note of Christmas cheer to the Falmouth community.
Recently found amongst the papers and ephemera in the Beebe archive are holiday calling cards belonging to E. Pierson, and a book of Franklin’s recording each book given to not only family members but a good number of Falmouth children, teachers, and members of the Falmouth choir. Scroll through the images to find a familiar name or two. Also of interest are the titles of the chosen books.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK FROM CEDITH COPENHAVER
PERSIMMON BREAD
Cedith has shared this bread with the Highfield staff and we all agree it is fabulous!
A friend from California sends me a box of Hachiya Persimmons every year. A real treat, but what to do with this luscious fruit that is only edible when it ripens into a gelatinous mush? Make Persimmon bread, of course! And share with family and friends. If you’re not ready to make the recipe when the fruit is ready to process, you can scrape out the pulp and freeze it until ready to bake.
