Veterans Day Parade
Last Sunday was a beautiful afternoon for the Veterans Day parade & ceremony. I had the honor of presenting a proclamation to the veterans who served in World War II. These veterans are often referred to as being part of the “greatest generation,” heroes who answered the call of duty and fought to protect our democracy and advance the cause of freedom in the face of Nazism and Fascism.
I also had the honor of presenting a proclamation to the family of Lieutenant Michael DeBartolomeo, who served in the US Navy and gave the ultimate sacrifice in 1984 while serving in the North Arabian Sea.
We owe all our veterans a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid and we live in freedom because of their service.
