Run Run…Gobble Gobble! Are you ready for the 2024 Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot?

For the past 20 years the Turkey Trot 5K fundraiser has provided Family of New Paltz much needed financial assistance, enabling us to successfully operate our program. The funds raised through this event have been utilized for the food pantry, case management services, domestic violence services and adolescent services, including restorative justice services, and pretty much “any problem under the sun."

The 2024 Race is presented by New Paltz Healthy & Nutrition Center and Kniffen Homes..

The Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot is a 5K run and walk held annually Thanksgiving morning to support Family of New Paltz’s Food Pantry and Crisis Services. Family of New Paltz is a crisis intervention center located in the heart of New Paltz since 1975. Family provides a myriad of services, including a 24 hour hotline and new text line, food pantry, counseling, support groups and shelters for adults, adolescents and victims of domestic violence.

This year's event will include the famous Mashed Potato Fun Run, which is free for kids 12 and under, and for the more serious runners, our USATF certified 5K course will include chip timed start and finish. As part of the package provided by the chip-timing company, photos of individual runners crossing the finish line will be available for upload at no cost. Age groups this coming year will be in ten-year increments, and medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group, with separate awards for male and female.
